In order for Tainan City Government to implement the new green policy “building a low-carbon and sustainable city”, Tainan City has activated the “Pilot Project for Intelligent E-Cars” under the grant from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C.. The Government will be holding 20 free intelligent e-cars test-drive events from now to the end of 2013. On August 11th, the fourth test drive event will be held at the Wanpi World, the government sincerely invites everyone to come and experience the pure power of the cars which is environmental friendly through the test drives, hope it can increase the people’s wiliness of buying or leasing the e-cars. To bring a low-carbon and sustainable city to tourists and the locals by promoting the combination of the major tourist attractions and the e-cars green travel package.
The City Government is trying to make Tainan the first model city of the green environment project in Taiwan, and also the fist e-cars friendly metropolis. Tainan City Government will be holding 20 free test-drive events at the monuments, major hotels and industrial parks in the next two years. They are hoping to strengthen the public awareness of environmental protection and to enhance the public acceptability to the e-cars. The City Government is confident that Tainan will be the first green ancient city in Taiwan to use e-cars comprehensively.
The free test-drive event on 8/11 will start from 10am to 4pm, there will be a Luxgen MPV e-car departs every 10 minutes and a special staff will be there to introduce you the car’s performance. Anyone that is interested in the event is more than welcome to come and experience the intelligent e-cars on 8/11.
